The Oriental Culture Association (OCA) is a federally registered (501)(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to promoting culture exchange and serving Asian communities and the general public in Michigan.

Happy Chinese New Year from all of us!

At the beginning of lunar New Year, Oriental Culture Association, as presenter of Chinese New Year Spectacular and Divine Performing Arts show in 2008 in Metro Detroit, would like to wish our audience sincerely Happy New Year. This New Year marks the Year of the Ox, a symbol of prosperity, fortitude, harmony and hard work. We wish you good luck in the year of Ox.

We would like also to most sincerely thank you for joining us in welcoming the triumphant return of Divine Performing Arts! Last year, Divine Performing Arts debuted to Michigan as the Chinese New Year Spectacular, and sold out the Detroit Opera House. This year we were most privileged to have Divine Performing Arts return, and sweep the stage at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center just in time to usher in the New Year!

This exhilarating production features a superb cast of dozens of dancers, musicians and singers. During its 2008 season alone, Divine Performing Arts dazzled over 600,000 audience members in live performances across four continents. Having once again performed to appreciative audiences and standing ovations in Michigan, Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour will now complete its North American tour, before gracing the finest stages worldwide. The survey of audience of Chinese New Year Spectacular in 2008 shows the 81% audience think show is excellent, 17% audience think the show is good. The survey of Divine Performing Arts show shows: 82% audience think it excellent, and 16% think is good.
