The Oriental Culture Association (OCA) is a federally registered (501)(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to promoting culture exchange and serving Asian communities and the general public in Michigan.

Happy Chinese Year of Tiger!

At the beginning of lunar New Year, Oriental Culture Association, would like to wish you sincerely Happy New Year. This New Year marks the Year of the Tiger, a symbol of power, courage, daring and sensitivity. We wish you good luck in the year of Tiger.

We would like also to most sincerely thank you for joining us in welcoming the triumphant return of Shen Yun Performing Arts early January 2010 at Detroit Opera House. This is the third year that Oriental Culture Association presents the world-renowned Shen Yun shows to the people of Michigan.

Shen Yun show is an exhilarating, grand production that celebrates the splendor of classical Chinese dance and music. During its 2008 season alone, Divine Performing Arts dazzled over 600,000 audience members in live performances across four continents. “Inspiring! . . Uplifting! . . . Pure Beauty!” Are some of the comments Michigan audiences responded with. The survey of audience in 2010 shows the 76% audience think the show is excellent, 23% audience think the show is good. According to three years' survey, 98% of audience believes the show is excellent or good.

Your feedback has encouraged us to bring this show back next year. Oriental Culture Association will work diligently in the New Year to honor your trust and encourage. We will provide most updated information of upcoming shows in the future.
